Carlene Davis WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: This session illuminates the Sankofa Village Storytelling Project—a poignant video documentary and insightful report delving into the experiences of Black women as they navigate the complexities of aging within their communities. Exploring themes of hope, beauty, trials, and tribulations, the project is a crucial exploration centered on Black women, aiming to shed light on the necessary steps to achieve equitable outcomes for older Black women in California. BIO: Carlene A. Davis, Co-Founder of Sistahs Aging with Grace & Elegance and Vice President of Strategy and Evaluation for the California Black Women’s Health Project, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her work. A native of Los Angeles, Ms. Davis is a graduate of UC Berkeley and holds a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School-University of Texas at Austin. MODERATOR: Gwen McMullins
