Jolean Shefffield WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: Join us as we delve into the collaborative efforts of the University of Buffalo and HIA Technologies aimed at engaging women of color in advancing breast cancer research. Explore how community involvement influenced the development process, from refining avatars and messaging to leveraging AI to support women seeking mammography services. BIO: With over a decade of experience in clinical care, Jolean transitioned into a technology consulting role, supporting some of the largest healthcare systems in the US. A recipient of the "HCA Innovators" award, she co-created the first conversational AI chatbot for COVID-19 and has contributed to the development of informatics programs for health systems, including Baylor Scott & White Health.
