He also forms an alliance with another gangster named Maya Dolas, who is also an enemy of Dawood.

Manohar Arjun Surve, popularly known as Manya Surve, was a notorious gangster who was involved in several crimes such as extortion, robbery, murder, and smuggling. He was also one of the most wanted criminals in Mumbai at that time.
On that fateful day, he was hiding in a flat near Wadala College with his associates. The police received a tip-off from an informer named Isaque Bagwan, who was actually an undercover cop working for Afaaque Baagwan. The police surrounded the flat and asked Manya to surrender. However, he refused and opened fire at them. The police retaliated and shot him dead in the chest. This was the first-ever recorded encounter by the Mumbai Police.
